Blood Pressure Monitoring Kits

In partnership with the American Heart Association, Stony Brook Medicine, Healthy Libraries Program (HeLP), and Public Libraries of Suffolk County, blood pressure monitor kits are available to borrow for 28 days at the circulation desk. Blood pressure kits are not holdable or renewable, they are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Kits include:

  • A blood pressure monitor.
  • A cuff (available in a variety of sizes).
  • A packet of instructions and information (the first time you borrow a blood pressure kit).

Please contact the Healthy Libraries Program (HeLP) for assistance with this service.

Do you or a loved one have questions about:

  • How to use a blood pressure cuff at home?
  • What do blood pressure “numbers” mean for your health?
  • What things can you do to have healthy blood pressure?
  • How to find a doctor in your area?

The Healthy Libraries Program (HeLP) can help! Meet with graduate student interns from the fields of social work, public health, nursing, and nutrition in person or remotely for free.

Contact HeLP by leaving a message at (631) 216-8220 or email at healthy_libraries_program@stonybrookmedicine.edu and a HeLP team member will get back to you.

Visit Healthy Libraries Program (HeLP) for more information.
