Reservations may be made online by following the Museum Pass link on the Library webpage, www.isliplibrary.org. Passes may also be reserved at the Circulation Desk. They can be reserved up to 60 days in advance. No more than four (4) Museum Passes may be reserved within a 30 day time period; patrons may only reserve a maximum of two (2) Museum Passes/day.
It is recommended that you reserve a pass for the day you wish to pick it up at the library. Passes may be checked out for a total of three (3) days. All reservations should be made with the intention of visiting the museum between the day of pick-up and day of return. If the Library is closed on the scheduled date of return, passes will be due on the first day of re-opening.
Passes must be picked up at the Circulation Desk by the person who made the reservation. The Islip Library card that was used to make the reservation must also be used to check out the Museum Pass(es).
All passes must be returned in the Library and hand delivered to a clerk at the Circulation desk. Please wait for your confirmation receipt.
Passes may not be renewed.
If you are unable to borrow the Museum Pass, please cancel your reservation through our website or by telephone. To cancel, go to My Passes on the Museum Pass calendar page. Enter your barcode and you will be able to view and cancel your reservation. As a courtesy to others, please cancel any reservation you will not be using as soon as possible.
A $20 late fee will be assessed per day per pass.
In the event that a Museum Pass is lost, a fee will be assessed for the full replacement cost of the museum membership. If a lost pass is returned, the replacement cost will not be refunded. Once a Museum Pass is reported lost, it loses all value.
The Library is not responsible for any museum entrance fees in the event that a pass is lost or not returned on time for your use.
Each participating museum sets its own limits, which are listed on the reservation page under Pass Details.
Patrons should call the museum directly or check their website for up-to-date information regarding hours of operation, special events, parking, and/or directions. Unexpected museum closings do occur. Please confirm that the museum is open prior to your visit.
I have read the rules for borrowing an Islip Public Library Museum Pass and understand the rules stated above.
I accept full responsibility and liability for the cost of replacing the Museum Pass if it is lost or stolen while checked out in my name.
